A-B now certified to brew organic Michelob

FORT COLLINS — The Anheuser-Busch brewery in Fort Collins has begun to brew an organic line of beer — Michelob Ultra Pure Gold.

The company’s Fort Collins brewery is now one of two to be certified by the USDA as organic. The other brewer of the organic drink is in Carterville, Georgia, according to a report in the Coloradoan.

The brewery uses the same process that it uses with other beers, but has to keep its organic beer separate from others. The designation means that the ingredients for the product come from certified organic sources.
