Applications now being accepted for Water Literate Leaders of Northern Colorado

FORT COLLINS — Colorado Water Center and Community Foundation of Northern Colorado are accepting applications to participate in the 2019-2020 Water Literate Leaders of Northern Colorado class.

“Modeled after highly successful programs such as Leadership Northern Colorado and Water Education Colorado’s Water Fluency Program, this program is for those who hold or aspire to political office, or other roles, including boards and commissions, which can impact regional water policy,” according to a CSU blog post.

The criteria for acceptance are:

WomenGive, a program of United Way of Larimer County, was started in Larimer County in 2006 as an opportunity for women in our community to come together to help other women.

  • Exemplified leadership in one of the Northern Colorado communities
  • Concerned about the water future of Northern Colorado
  • Anticipates continued community leadership for the next several years
  • Commitment to attend all sessions

A maximum of 20 application will be selected to participate in the upcoming Water Literate Leaders of Northern Colorado class.
