Banner leases call-center space, to hire 100 new workers

GREELEY — Banner Health in Northern Colorado will soon move two departments into newly leased space in Greeley and add 100 employees.

Phil Dague, executive director of facility operations for Banner, told BizWest that the health-care company has leased 32,360 square feet of space at 244 Dundee Ave. in Greeley. It will relocate its call center operation, currently with 110 employees, and add 100 jobs in the first half of 2020. Billing operations, also known as financial clearance, will also move to the facility. The five-year lease is effective Aug. 1, he said.
The Dundee address is across the parking lot from the Banner corporate center at 7251 W. Fourth St. in Greeley. The Fourth Street facility includes about 48,000 square feet and is home to about 265 employees, he said. “We selected the new location because it was strategically located near the corporate center,” Dague said.
“We’re centralizing a function and moving existing employees from other spaces,” he said. Banner will occupy only a portion of the 88,000-square-foot Dundee building, he said, which has room for other tenants.
He said Banner had two main goals. First, it wanted to leverage its existing staff and, second, it wanted to create redundancy with its Arizona call center so that staff at either location can handle calls that come in.
“We wanted to hire in a rural community to serve a rural community,” he said.
