Fort Collins considers affordable housing project

FORT COLLINS — The city of Fort Collins will take five acres of land from its land bank and commit it to a development company for construction of affordable housing.

The Coloradoan reported that the city has chosen a developer from Indiana for the project, which would include about 60 affordable homes. The homes would be sold to people earning less than the median income of the community.

The deal is still being negotiated and has to undergo development review.
