Longtime Humane Society of Boulder Valley CEO to step down

BOULDER — Humane Society of Boulder Valley CEO Lisa Pedersen will leave her position with the organization this week to launch a consulting business, Root Purpose Group, according to a Daily Camera report.

Pedersen has led the Humane Society since 2007.

“What I’ve had the privilege of experiencing every day is the commitment of our team,” she told the Daily Camera. “As I look back over my tenure here, I’m really proud of the team we’ve built and the culture we’ve built together for the animals and for the people who turn to us when they are in need.”

An executive search committee hopes to find Pedersen’s successor in the coming weeks.
