Steamboat may add in-town cannabis facilities

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS  — Steamboat Springs will consider whether to permit more recreational marijuana businesses within the community.

A draft ordinance will be heard by the city planning commission this afternoon and then go to the city council May 7, according to a report in the Steamboat Pilot. If approved, the local law would not place a limit on numbers of dispensaries but would limit their proximity from one another, thereby limiting the number based on geography.
