Scheels may get incentive green light this week

COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs city council might decide on Tuesday to give Scheels All Sports a $16.2 million incentive to build and operate a store in the north part of the city.

The store would be the second in Colorado for the company, which opened a similar store in Johnstown just outside of Loveland two years ago.

The incentive has received preliminary approval from the council with the final vote scheduled for Tuesday.
