Greeley hotels top in the region for January occupancy

DENVER — Greeley’s January hotel occupancy rates were the highest in Northern Colorado and Boulder Valley, according to the most recent Rocky Mountain Lodging Report by the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association.

Last month, Greeley recorded hotel occupancy of 62.6 percent, edging second-place Loveland at 59.4 percent.

The monthly lodging report shows hotel occupancy rates of 56.2 percent along the U.S. Highway 36 corridor, 55 percent in Boulder, 51.4 percent in Fort Collins, 40.6 percent in Longmont and 21.4 percent in Estes Park.

In January, the average daily room rate in Estes Park was $161.70, Boulder $131.10, the U.S. 36 corridor $117.91, Longmont $104, Loveland $110.10, Fort Collins $96.05 and Greeley $93.58.

Statewide, the year-to-date occupancy rate for 2019 is up slightly from the same period in 2018, 58.7 percent compared to 58.2 percent. The 2019 average daily room rate of $169.79 also ticked up about a dollar compared to January 2018.
