Northern Colorado companies recognized for safety

DENVER — Several area companies have been recognized by Pinnacol Assurance, a leading workers’ compensation insurer, as recipients of the 2018 Circle of Safety Award.

The award honors companies that have shown excellence in safety, loss control, and financial and claims management. Many of the companies recognized have been able to do so in high-risk industries.

“These Colorado employers have shown a commitment to workplace safety that permeates their culture,” Krista O’Rourke, Pinnacol’s vice president of agency relations and safety services, said in a prepared statement. “They have seen the direct benefits of a safer workplace on their workers’ compensation costs, but what’s potentially more valuable is the more secure, productive, loyal and engaged workforce their investment in employee safety can foster.”
