RTD seeks input on Hwy. 119 mobility improvement

DENVER — The Regional Transportation District has launched an online survey questionnaire to solicit feedback from Boulder County commuters about Bus Rapid Transit service and other mobility issues along the Diagonal Highway — Colorado Highway 119 — between Boulder and Longmont.

“We really want to hear from residents who rely on this critical highway. This is the primary travel corridor between Boulder and Longmont, with connections to Niwot, Gunbarrel and rural eastern Boulder County,” RTD project manager Chris Quinn said in a prepared statement. “Residents here deserve fast, comfortable and reliable transit service that anticipates future congestion and development in the corridor.”

The results of the questionnaire and other feedback will give RTD insights on how to improve bus routes, integrate pedestrian and bicycle mobility, and frequency of service, according to an RTD news release. All responses to the questionnaire will remain completely anonymous.

The survey is available online at sh119brt.com.
