New pizza chain coming to Boulder
BOULDER — Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza, a Florida-based fast-casual pizza franchise, is expanding into Colorado and plans to open a Boulder location.
Arvada residents Andy and Jamie Gunther are the Colorado franchise owners. They are also planning restaurants in Golden and Arvada, according to a Smokin’ Oak news release.
“I have been in the IT industry for 20 years,” Andy Gunther said. “When I began the process of deciding the next phase of my career, Jamie and I discussed setting up a franchise. When we became involved with the Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza team, we knew right away we had a match — the pre-franchising preparation is very impressive.”
The Colorado restaurants are expected to open in 2019.
