Most charitable counties revealed in study
Boulder-, Broomfield- and Larimer-county residents rank among the top 10 most charitable in the state.
A study by financial technology company SmartAsset, made available on Tuesday, Colorado Gives Day, said that based upon Internal Revenue Service data, Douglas County topped the state in charitable giving but area counties were not far behind.
The study measured how much people donate as a percentage of their net income, and the proportion of people in a given county who made charitable donations. How the top 10 counties of Colorado ranked are displayed in the accompanying chart.
