Journey’s Education Event targets business owners, leaders

LOVELAND — Colorado business owners and leaders are invited to attend Journey’s 2018 Education Event, presented by Journey Employer Solutions. The event will take place from 1 to 5 p.m., Dec. 11, at the Budweiser Events Center at The Ranch events complex at Interstate 25 and Crossroads Boulevard.

Speakers will educate attendees about various hot topics for business, including marketing, insurance, legal and company culture. Attendance is free, but RSVPs are required.

Presenters include Laurie Macomber, owner of Blue Skies Marketing, speaking about SEO predictions 2019, voice search and trends in social media; Michael Shirazi, health adviser with Shirazi Benefits, speaking about what’s new in 2019, Affordable Care Act fines and ways to save money with benefits; Mark Weaver, owner of Open Door Solutions, speaking on identifying your organization’s DNA, defining your “it” and making your culture last; and Dan Muffly, attorney with Gast, Johnson & Muffly PC, speaking on real-life scenarios in employee law.

Christopher Wood is editor and publisher of BizWest, a regional business journal covering Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties. Wood co-founded the Northern Colorado Business Report in 1995 and served as publisher of the Boulder County Business Report until the two publications were merged to form BizWest in 2014.
