Cue Marketplace debuts platform for cannabis industry

BOULDER — Cue Marketplace, a one-stop shop for recommending and purchasing software for small businesses, has launched Cue Cannabis.

Cue Cannabis offers a marketplace of software geared toward new and established businesses in the cannabis industry.

Boulder-based Cue has partnered with several software providers — including cannabis-specific firms like Wurk, Green Bits and Iheart Jane  — to offer a suite of vetted business software for cannabis entrepreneurs.

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.

“We wanted to provide a nice shortlist of high-quality products [for the industry],” Sean Glynn, president and chief operations officer of Cue told BizWest.

Glynn said that for the cannabis industry in particular, there’s an importance with regulatory compliance, from point of sale to tracking inventory. Keeping track of a state’s regulations is also key, and software made for the cannabis industry can help with all of that.

In addition to having one marketplace where entrepreneurs can select the software they’re going to use for their business, get it at a discount and try it out for 30 days, Cue Cannabis also incorporates Cue’s Dashboard. The Dashboard, which is available to all of its customers, provides a centralized location where business owners can access and use the software they’ve purchased. Rather than having to use each software’s individual dashboard system, the Cue Dashboard brings it all together in one place.

Glynn added that while Cue Cannabis is new, it is targeting both new and established businesses in the industry. For new and first-time business owners, Cue Cannabis has a recommendation engine that allows entrepreneurs to answer some questions and then get recommendations on which software products might be best for them. For established businesses, Cue is seeking feedback from long-time dispensary owners and retailers — the company will be at MJ Biz Conference seeking input. Glynn said the goal is to create a customized dashboard for the cannabis industry.

“There are a few software research sides but hardly any offer a defined shortlist of high-quality products, with a discount and the ability to integrate with a dashboard,” Glynn said. “We’ve picked the best in breed and combined it into a single platform. There’s a ton of activity around here in the cannabis space, and we’re keeping an eye out for the best products out there.”
