Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association names first president and CEO

DENVER — The Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association has appointed Mike Kruger as its new president and CEO.

Kruger was previously director of communications for the Smart Electric Power Alliance in Washington, D.C., where he oversaw all public communications for the organization. Prior to SEPA, he worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce under the Obama Administration and served on the U.S. House of Representatives Education and Labor Committee.

“I’m overjoyed to join COSEIA and the Colorado solar and energy storage industries. With the great strides made over the last several years, and the continued industry-wide price reductions, the market in Colorado will expand dramatically in the coming years,” Kruger said in a prepared statement.
