Southeast Loveland could get 60 new oil and gas wells in next 5 years

Oil and gas operator Magpie Operating Inc. has plans to drill 60 wells in southeast Loveland over the next five years, according to a Loveland Reporter-Herald report.

The company plans to start drilling horizontal wells in 2019.

The wells drilled on six total pads near First Street and North Boyd Lake Avenue would use fracking to extract oil and gas from formations in the Loveland Field, Magpie engineer Sam Bradley told the Reporter-Herald. Plans call for five of those pads to be built on existing well sites.
