Broomfield buys 75 acres for $4.4M, plans to build park

BROOMFIELD — Broomfield has completed the purchase a 75-acre parcel of land in the northeastern portion of the city for $4.4 million.

“The intended use of this Property would be for the development of a regional park that would be part of a future master-planned park adjacent to Broomfield’s Harmer Open Space,” according to city documents.

Real estate records show the purchase for the property near Interstate 25 and County Road 4 closed in late August. The California-based sellers were Professors Fund V LLC, Lake Skinner Investors Six LLC, and MP Land 1. Thomas Bobowski is listed as the manager of the sellers’ parent fund, Professors Capital, Inc.

Broomfield city documents show the land was purchased using sales-and-use-tax capital funds.
