Commercial, industrial development surges in Grand Valley

GRAND JUNCTION — Grand Junction is experiencing its best commercial and industrial real estate market in a decade or more, according to a report in the Sentinel.

A diverse group of new companies has moved or is looking to move  to the region, the newspaper reported. Commercial real estate sales are the highest since 2008 when the recession began.  Real estate professionals hope that the diversity in newcomers will help to blunt the impact of the cyclical oil and gas industry.

Experts also say that the region is competitively priced in comparison to the Front Range. Industrial spaces can be as low as $3 a foot in the Grand Valley.
