Energy company to cap wells near stadium
GREELEY — SRC Energy will cap four wells near Northridge High School.
The energy company has received Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission approvals to shut down the wells. An equipment failure at the wells several months ago forced evacuation of District 6 stadium, according to a report in the Greeley Tribune.
The company will access the resources under the wells using horizontal drilling from location farther away. The change in operations will also permit more use of pipelines, instead of trucks, to move products, the Tribune reported..
