Entrepreneurship institute coming to Boulder June 14-15

BOULDER — The Hirshberg Entrepreneurship Institute, formerly known as the Social Venture Institute and the Stonyfield Entrepreneurship, is hosting its first Boulder session.

The two-day boot camp will be held June 14 and 15 at the Boulder JCC.

The program was started by Gary Hirshberg, founder of Stonyfield Farm, one of the world’s leading organic yogurt producers.  The classes are based on his experience bringing Stonyfield Farm from a seven-cow operation to the $400 million annual sales it has today.

The institute will teach leaders at nonprofit and for-profit businesses about financing, marketing, organizational challenges and how to grow an enterprise. It uses a method based on cases and real-world experience.

Panelists and educators at the Boulder event include Alex Bogusky, former creative director of Crispin Porter + Bogusky; Susan Graf, regional development manager of New Resource Bank; and Walter Robb, former co-CEO of Whole Foods Market.

June will mark the first time the institute has been held in Boulder. Events have been held in California, New York, Toronto and Auckland, New Zealand, among other locations.

Registration before May 1 will be $350, regular-priced registration is $400 and registration after June 1 will be $425. Fees include two continental breakfasts, two lunches and one dinner. Limited scholarships are available.
