Rush Bowls moves corporate office to Gunbarrel

BOULDER — Rush Bowls, a fast-casual restaurant chain known for its meals-in-a-bowl crafted from fruits and vegetables, topped with granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other ingredients, has signed a lease for a new corporate headquarters in Gunbarrel, northeast of Boulder.

The new headquarters is set to open in May and includes more than 4,000 square feet. It will be at 5400 Spine Road and will house the corporate offices, a new eatery and a test kitchen.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our world headquarters and new corporate store in Gunbarrel. While Boulder will always remain a core part of Rush Bowls’ DNA, Gunbarrel possesses many of the attributes that set the stage for a successful Rush Bowls operation,” said Andrew Pudalov, founder and chief executive, in a prepared statement. “With Gunbarrel’s fast-growing community, and robust and expanding restaurant scene, we saw great potential for Rush Bowls to stake a claim as the go-to source for nutritious and quick meals-in-a-bowl.”

The move comes on the heels of the brand’s first franchisee-owned location, which opened in Nashville, Tenn., in 2017. The company plans to develop more than 50 new franchises in major U.S. markets, including in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Oregon and Texas. Twenty of those will be open in 2018.

The company was founded in 2004. Its menu includes more than 40 signature bowls or smoothies made with fruit and vegetable bases, including acai, kale and avocado. Bowls are also available in vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy free options.
