Applications open for writers’ residency program
FORT COLLINS — Solarium International Inn and Hostel in Fort Collins is accepting applications for its Writers’ Residency Program, a free three-day stay and writing retreat at the hostel Sept. 17–19.
The winning writers will have the opportunity to work in the Fort Collins creative community and will be asked to document their experience through writing, social media and other mediums of expression.
“We hope writers will find inspiration in our verdant tropical solarium, in our grounds or somewhere in the abundant natural and cultural opportunities in Northern Colorado,” Chelsea Gressman, owner of Solarium International Inn and Hostel, said in a prepared statement.
Interested writers must submit two examples of their writing (2,000 word maximum), a 100-200-word artist statement and a $20 application fee. The application deadline is May 21 and the three winners will be notified by June 15.
