Aims Community College extends president’s contract

GREELEY — The Aims Community College Board of Trustees has extended the contract of President Leah L. Bornstein.

After undergoing an annual review and evaluation, Bornstein’s contract is extended two years, through June 30, 2020.

“I am honored and thrilled to continue to serve such an outstanding institution and community.” Bornstein said in a prepared statement. “These past two years have been exciting with many significant College activities, including our 50th anniversary, re-accreditation, strategic planning, new and upgraded facilities, all with a focus on student success. And of course it’s been wonderful getting to know our outstanding employees, students and our community. I look forward to many more years together.”

Bornstein was hired Aug. 1, 2015, and was the sixth president and CEO of the community college. She has a 25-year history in higher education.
