Hamilton, Richardson buy substance-abuse recovery company

BOULDER — Jordan Hamilton and Tyler Richardson have acquired Choice House in Boulder, a company that provides care for people recovering from substance abuse.

They formed Choice Health Co. LLC to acquire the business from Mara Lehnert, who founded the company in 2012. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Choice House operates Choice the Lookout in Boulder, Choice for Women in Lafayette and Choice for Men in Louisville.

Hamilton, who lives in Broomfield, has been in the industry since 2008 and had been director of admissions for Choice House since 2013. He now is the company’s executive director.

Richardson, who lives in Greeley, has worked in the addiction and mental-health field since 2007. He joins Hamilton as a principal and managing member. He will provide administrative leadership and management advisory services in addition to leading recovery workshops for clients.

Choice The Lookout is a 90-day treatment program conducted in a residential setting in Boulder. It is run by addiction- and trauma-certified clinical staff who also coordinate additional services through professional consultants, physicians and therapists from the Boulder and Denver area.

Choice for Women and Choice for Men are advanced programs for clients.

Hamilton said the company currently is leasing the homes it works out of but plans to eventually buy those properties.
