GOLDEN — The Jefferson County Economic Development Corp., on Friday said it has appointed Kristi Pollard as the organization’s new president and chief executive, effective Oct. 30.
As the former executive director of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership, Pollard has more than than 15 years of experience in economic development, government and community relations, fundraising and communications.
While owning a building seems like something every successful business should do, that’s not always the case. For many companies, it makes more sense to continue leasing space, freeing up time and capital that can be better utilized in other ways.
“I am excited and energized to be part of a dynamic organization like the Jefferson County Economic Development Corp.,” Pollard said in a prepared statement. “Jeffco EDC was the first economic-development organization in the state of Colorado, and I look forward to being a part of the team that leads Jefferson County forward toward greater economic vitality.”
While at the Grand Junction Economic Partnership, Pollard played a key role in developing and implementing programs that encouraged job creation and capital investment in the local economy, according to the statement.
