Cheba Hut plans national expansion

Cheba Hut, the toasted-sub franchise based in Fort Collins, will open its 20th store this month and plans to double in size over the next three years.

Scott Jennings, the founder of the Cheba Hut, has the company on a trajectory to more than double the number of stores in three years, according to a report in the Fort Collins Coloradoan.

“The brand deserves to be national,” Jennings said. Cheba Hut reported revenue of $25 million last year. Jennings said that while about 60 percent of the brand’s current locations are franchise operations, he expects the ratio to shift to about half franchises and half company stores because all new stores will be company managed.
