Last Fort Collins video store to close

The last remaining video store in Fort Collins will close its doors later this month. As noted in a report in the Coloradoan, The Village Vidiot is falling victim to the video entertainment trends of modern society.

The privately run video store outlasted its corporate competitors. The last Blockbuster in the city closed in 2013. Owner Scott Shepard noted the changing times as he placed the store inventory up for sale. “They’ve moved on. Life’s changed,” Shepherd said of his customers.
