BOULDER COUNTY — Recover Colorado is offering grants and loans to small businesses and nonprofits affected by the September 2013 floods and ongoing disaster caused by road closures.
Affected businesses could get grants up to $50,000 — or $75,000 if a business had multiple affected locations — and loans up to $100,000 with favorable terms.
So far, the Recover Colorado Business Program has provided more than $5.3 million in grants impacted by the 2013 floods. Businesses can be reimbursed for loss of revenue, destruction or loss of inventory and destruction or loss of furnishings, fixtures and equipment.
To qualify, a small business must show evidence of their loss through financial records, have at least $15,000 of annual revenue, have at least one full-time employee, have been in business at least six months before the road project and have at least $5,000 in uncompensated losses.
