Boulder tea company raises $5 million
BOULDER — Bhakti Inc., the parent company behind Bhakti Chai drinks, has raised more than $5 million.
The beverage company filed a Form D with the Securities and Exchange Commission saying it had raised $5,278,397. The company raised that capital by offering up equity, according to the paperwork filed Sept. 6 by CEO Sarah Bird. Bhakti did not respond to requests for comment.
Bhakti Inc., which formerly did business as Bhakti Chai LLC, produces a line of beverages, including tea leaves for brewing, tea concentrate, iced chai and sparkling tea drinks.
