New hotel and conference center opens in Greeley

GREELEY — The DoubleTree by Hilton Conference Hotel at Lincoln Park opened Friday, Sept. 1.

The hotel and conference center will serve the Greeley market’s meeting and event needs. It is located next to the Union Colony Civic Center. The Centennial Ballroom can accommodate up to 800 people, and the UNC Bears Meeting Room seats up to 50 guests.

The hotel and center will have nearly 15,000 square feet of flexible space that can be customized for event needs.

Each guest room includes WiFi access, 50-inch HDTV, coffeemakers, mini refrigerators and room service. Spaces are decorated to “evoke a classic Colorado feel,” according to a news release. Suites have premium bathroom amenities and a king-sized bed, and many rooms offer a connected boardroom and extended seating areas. There is also a Colorado Rockies Suite decorated with team memorabilia.

Other amenities include an onsite wedding specialist, an indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, a business center and a fitness center.

The DoubleTree features a restaurant as well. Meeker’s Colorado Kitchen & Bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“Meeker’s is redefining farm-to-table, bringing food less traveled to Colorado’s burgeoning culinary map,” said Jacob Agranove, Meeker’s executive chef, in a prepared statement. “We’re working with local farmers to bring the finest raised meat and produce to the table. The goal of our culinary team is to find and create food that excites our guests.”

To celebrate the opening, the DoubleTree is featuring several events, including an invitation-only gala on Sept. 15, a community grand opening event from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 with a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m., and Meeker’s opening events on Sept. 22 and 23.
