Pet hotel in Fort Collins adds indoor pool for dogs

FORT COLLINS — Four Paws Pet Hotel & Resort in Fort Collins has added an indoor pool for dogs that will be used for group swims, individual swimming lessons and rehabilitation therapy.

“We wanted to create an environment where dogs could really enjoy the water safely while receiving positive instruction,” Brenda McClelland, owner of Four Paws Pet Hotel & Resort, said in a prepared statement.

The pool features an extendable dock for dock-diving practice and a zero-depth entry ramp so dogs can enter and exit the water easily. The pool was constructed by AMI Construction at a cost of $300,000.

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.

“Contrary to popular belief, most dogs aren’t natural swimmers,” McClelland said. “Like us, they need instruction before they’re at home in a pool. Our canine swimming lessons focus on positive reinforcement, using play and treats to forge a lasting relationship between your dog and the water.”

Four Paws Pet Hotel & Resort will host a humans-only grand-opening celebration from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 12, at 4710 S. College Ave. Complimentary food will be catered by Elli’s Deli and Koby’s East Coast Snowball Stand. There will be giveaways and tours.
