BOULDER — Stream.io Inc., a web-development company that helps customers build and scale social media activity streams, has raised $2.8 million.
The Boulder-based company, which participated in Techstars New York, is looking to raised $3 million, according to a Form D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 12. To raise the capital, the company is offering equity.
UnitedHealthcare is digging deeper to empower the community by providing grants to local organizations, helping families who need medical support, promoting physical activity and investing in affordable housing, food security and other social factors that impact people’s health.
Stream.io did not return a request for more information.
The company uses an API, or application programming interface, that lets customers build on and customize their own newsfeed and activity stream, according to its website. Rather than starting from scratch, companies can use Stream.io’s API for free, or pay a monthly fee for more capabilities.
