UCHealth to host ground-breaking event for medical campus in Greeley

GREELEY — Aurora-based UCHealth will host a ground-breaking ceremony for a hospital and medical center that it will build in Greeley.

The event will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 10,  at the site of the medical campus, 6767 29th St., the corner of U.S. Highway 34 Bypass and 65th Street.

The UCHealth Greeley Hospital and UCHealth Greeley Medical Center is a $185 million project that will be built in phases.

UCHealth Greeley Hospital will provide 53 beds with room to grow and will include an intensive-care unit, an emergency department, operating rooms, advanced cardiology services and a birth center.

The UCHealth Medical Center will be the new home for many UCHealth physicians who already provide primary and specialty care to patients across the region. Both the hospital and medical center are expected to be completed in late 2018.

The health-care system announced plans for the hospital in June of last year.
