Florida brewery owned by Oskar Blues will start distributing in Colorado

A Florida-favorite brewery has announced that it will start distributing in Colorado.

Tampa, Fla.-based Cigar City Brewing, owned by Oskar Blues, is now distributing its beer in Colorado.

Tampa-based Cigar City Brewing will partner with several distributors in the state, including RMC Distributors, Coors Distributing Co., High Country Beverage and Mountain Beverage Co.

To celebrate, Cigar City is hosting several market launch events across Colorado May 15-18. Brewmaster Wayne Wambles, as well as the chief operations officer and brand manager, will be in attendance, so craft-brew fans can learn more about the brand.

Cigar City will be distributing 12-ounce cans of several of its beers throughout the state, including Jai Alai IPA, Maduro Brown Ale, Florida Cracker Belgian-style White Ale, Invasion Pale Ale and Tampa-style Lager.

Last year, Cigar City was sold to Longmont-based Oskar Blues Brewery. The reason for the sale was so the Florida brewery could grow. Cigar City, started in 2009, is one of Florida’s biggest craft breweries.
