UCHealth plans hiring event to staff hospital in Longmont

LONGMONT — UCHealth will hold an event next week to fill 200 jobs for its new UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont that is expected to open this summer.

An architectural rendering shows UCHealth’s Longs Peak Hospital that is under construction at the northwest corner of County Road 1 and Colorado Highway 119 in Longmont. It is expected to open this summer.

The hiring event will be from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, May 15, at the Plaza Convention Center, 1850 Industrial Circle in Longmont.

The organization has made 100 hires for the hospital, and on Monday hospital leaders will meet with candidates for a variety of positions, including:

Exploring & expressing grief

Support groups and events, as well as creative therapies and professional counseling, are all ways in which Pathways supports individuals dealing with grief and loss.

  • Laboratory (medical lab scientists, histotechnologists and ancillary health technicians).
  • Obstetrical technicians.
  • Radiology.
  • Registered nurses for the following units: labor and delivery, intensive-care unit, medical/surgical, post-anesthesia care, operating room.
  • Sterile-processing technicians.
  • Stationary engineers.
  • Environmental-services technicians.

The 210,000-square-foot hospital on the northwest corner of Colorado Highway 119 and County Road 1 will have approximately 50 inpatient beds, with room to have more when needed.

The hospital will feature an intensive-care unit, operating rooms, a Level III trauma center and emergency department, advanced cardiac services, a birth center with a Level II special care nursery, an ambulatory surgery center, a retail pharmacy with extended hours, laboratory and imaging services.
