Lightwave Logic CEO to depart, lead Space Foundation
LONGMONT — Retired Navy Rear Admiral Thomas Zelibor is leaving Longmont-based Lightwave Logic Inc. (OTC: LWLG) where he served as chief executive, to become the CEO of Space Foundation, a Colorado Springs-based nonprofit that serves as an advocate for the space industry.
Lightwave, meanwhile, named Michael Lebby as its new CEO. Lebby has experience in technology development, and has served on Lightwave’s board since August 2015. Lebby’s appointment is effective May 1. Zelibor starts his new job with the foundation April 30, but he will remain chairman of Lighwave’s board, according to a company statement..
Lightwave is developing next-generation photonic devices and optical systems that can be used in high-speed fiber-optic data communications and telecommunications.

The Space Foundation hired Zelibor after conducting a national search to replace outgoing CEO Elliot Pulham. Space Foundation chief operating officer, Shelli Brunswick, is serving as interim CEO.
Zelibor has also served as the CEO of Flatirons Solutions Inc., an Irvine,Calif.-based contenit-lifecycle-solutions company formerly based in Boulder.
