Propst promoted to CEO of ANB Bank, Sturm Financial Group

DENVER — Koger Propst has been promoted to chief executive of Denver-based ANB Bank and its holding company, Sturm Financial Group.

Propst replaces Donald Sturm, who was CEO of Sturm Financial. Sturm will continue to serve as chairman.

ANB Bank has more than 30 banking locations in Wyoming, the Kansas City metro area and Colorado, including branches in Boulder and Fort Collins.

Propst was president of ANB Bank since 2011. Prior to that, he was with FirstBank for 28 years, ending up as executive vice president of its holding company.

Propst is a past chairman of the Colorado Bankers Association, the Community First Foundation and the Colorado board of trustees of the Nature Conservancy. He serves on the American Bankers Association of Government Relations Council and the board of the Colorado Cattlemen’s Land Trust.
