First National Bank awards 8 local organizations grants

First National Bank has awarded grants to eight organizations in Northern Colorado and the Boulder Valley.

Organizations in the region receiving grants were:

$10,000 – Bridge House, Boulder:  provides resources for homeless individuals that lead to employment, housing and stability.

$10,000 – Emergency Family Assistance Association, Boulder: provides case management and services to help individuals become self-sufficient.

$10,000 – House of Neighborly Service, Loveland: provides shelter and case management to homeless families with children.

$10,000 – Outreach United Resource Center, Longmont (Longmont):  prepares un/underemployed and difficult to employ individuals for careers in food service.

$10,000 – Greeley Transitional House, Greeley: builds landlord relationships and expands case management to enable families to move from shelter into housing.

$5,000 – East Colorado Small Business Development Center, Greeley:  provides consulting to small and emerging businesses in eastern Colorado.

$5,000 – Larimer County Small Business Development Center, Fort Collins:  provides education, training and consulting to small and emerging businesses in the Fort Collins area.

The bank also awarded a $50,000 grant to GreenPath Financial Wellness, of which $15,000 will provide financial education and credit counseling to people in Colorado to promote financial stability.  GreenPath has offices in Denver, Fort Collins and Broomfield.

The grants are part of the $1.1 million in community development grants that First National of Nebraska has given to 51 organizations in Colorado, Nebraska, Illinois, Kansas, South Dakota and Texas.
