Report: Colorado’s most expensive housing market is … Boulder
Boulder has the highest average home price in Colorado at $929,496, according to a report released Thursday by Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC.
The company’s 2016 Home Listing Report ranks the average price of homes in 26 real estate markets in Colorado, as well as prices in 2,161 markets across the United States. The ranking price is for four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes.
The next most expensive market in Colorado is Carbondale, coming in at $657,700.
Of markets surveyed in Northern Colorado and the Boulder Valley, Broomfield is No. 6 statewide at $579,579; Longmont, No. 10 at $505,080; Lafayette, No. 11, $505,018; Fort Collins, No. 14, $487,850; Frederick, No. 17, $384,800; Loveland, No. 20; 358,640; and Greeley, $263,954.
Westminster is No. 3 at $655,571, and Denver is No. 5 at $610, 773. The lowest average price is in Craig at $184,833.
Nationwide, 11 markets in California top the list, led by Saratoga with an average home price of $2.5 million.
The least expensive market in the country is Detroit at $64,110, followed by Cleveland, $73,073.
