BOULDER — Foothills United Way, a nonprofit organization serving Boulder and Broomfield counties, has named Premier Members Credit Union’s chief executive Carlos Pacheco its new board chairman.
Foothills United Way officials also in a news release said that Bob Bond of EKS&H and Geoffrey Keys of Keys Commercial Real Estate have joined the board of directors.
If asked to identify any emerging theme resulting from the events of 2020, I’d have to say that we are challenging historical norms at a record-setting pace. There is a large degree of discord in our political system regarding the state of our economy and the suggestions on how to fix it are endless.
Pacheco, who has been CEO at Premier Members since 2011, also joined the Foothills United Way’s board that year. He most recently served as chairman of the organization’s Resource Development Committee. Pacheco has worked in the banking industry since 1985.
“Foothills United Way is embarking in a new direction that encourages the over 700 local nonprofits in our community to work more cooperatively than separately,” Pacheco said. “As the new board chair, I am excited to be involved in efforts to address the area’s highest priorities by creating a stronger community network through collaboration and partnership.”
Bond has worked in accounting since 1996, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Keys established Keys Commercial in 1984. He pens a regular column for BizWest and is a member of the Denver Metro Commercial Area Brokers and Commercial Brokers of Boulder, among other organizations.
