Innosphere inks deal with Maryland firm to beef up life-sciences resources

FORT COLLINS — Tech-startup incubator Innosphere announced a partnership with a Maryland company that will give a boost to the former’s suite of services in the life-science and digital-health realms as more and more of Innosphere’s client firms come from those sectors.

The partnership with Glen Burnie, Md.-based CSSi LifeSciences will provide business and strategic support for Innosphere companies.

Innosphere CEO Mike Freeman said there is no financial arrangement in terms of sponsorship. Rather, CSSi will at no cost help Innosphere evaluate companies applying to the incubator from a technical standpoint — analyzing things such as regulatory, manufacturing and supply-chain issues each individual startup will face — and then supply those startups with a report highlighting a go-to-market strategy.

Empowering communities

Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), part of the UnitedHealthcare family, has pledged its commitment to uplift these communities through substantial investments in organizations addressing the distinct needs of our communities.

Startups would then have the option of purchasing further consulting services from CSSi as they progress through the two-year Innosphere program.

“It’s very highly technical and specialized support that these companies need,” Freeman said. “We think this is a great company to help Innosphere take our client companies to the next level.”

Freeman said he estimates that about a third of Innosphere’s client companies, which hail from up and down the Front Range, fall into the life-sciences or digital-health categories.
