Whitewave acquisition expected to close within a week
DENVER — The WhiteWave Foods Co. (NYSE: WWAV) said it expects its acquisition by Danone to close within the next few days.
Since the U.S. District Court signed an order April 5 allowing French company Danone to acquire the Denver-based organic dairy company, WhiteWave said the deal is expected to close within five days of when the order was signed.
The U.S. Department of Justice gave the acquisition approval under the condition that Danone divested of its ownership of Stonyfield Farms, another major organic dairy company.
