Lawsuit alleges insider trading by Chipotle execs
The troubles for fast-casual burrito chain Chipotle keep piling up, with the Denver-based company’s execs now facing allegations of insider trading.
The Denver Business Journal reports that a shareholder lawsuit filed against the company alleges that execs not only sold shares at artificially high prices before illness outbreaks that sickened customers in multiple states, but also that certain execs “dealt themselves excessive compensation … through a corrupt stock incentive plan.”
