Former employee accuses Aspen hospital of patient-privacy breach
A former employee of Aspen Valley Hospital is suing the hospital, alleging repeated violations of patient-privacy laws.
The Aspen Times Weekly reports that a man using the name John Doe to protect his identity filed the suit in U.S. District Court in Denver last week. In the suit, Doe alleges that a human resources manager told another employee at the hospital about his status as being HIV-positive. Doe also alleges that he was fired after filing a complaint about the issue.
