Centura Health opens new ER/urgent care center in Frederick

FREDERICK — Centura Health on Wednesday opened its emergency and urgent-care center at the Indian Peaks Medical Center building in Frederick.

Englewood-based Centura announced plans for the center in November.

The Indian Peaks Medical Center is a medical office building at 4943 Colorado Highway 52 opened in 2013 by Longmont United Hospital, which last year inked a long-term affiliation deal with Centura.

Exploring & expressing grief

Support groups and events, as well as creative therapies and professional counseling, are all ways in which Pathways supports individuals dealing with grief and loss.

Centura’s new emergency and urgent-care center in Frederick will be staffed by Centura-affiliated physicians, nurses and other specialists, and it will be equipped with digital X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound and other equipment.

The combined ER/urgent care model is one Centura began rolling out last fall with centers in Arvada and Golden. Frederick is the third to open, with five more in the pipeline. Centers in Avon, Parker and Highlands Ranch are slated to open this year, with another in Lakewood due in the winter or spring and one in Littleton in planning.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Frederick facility is slated for 8 a.m. on June 8.
