Citizen group pushing term limits for Boulder City Council members
Seeking to funnel new faces to City Council more frequently, a Boulder citizen organization is making a push for term limits for council members.
The Daily Camera reports that Open Boulder is gathering signatures for a November ballot measure that would limit council members to a maximum of three terms. Given that some Boulder City Council terms are four years and some are two, the measure would mean a maximum of 12 years on council for any individual, and some members might be limited to as few as six years.
