Texas company starting drive-in movie theater in Minturn
Drive-in movie theaters have long been a disappearing piece of Americana, but a Texas firm plans to open a new one this summer in the Vail Valley.
VailDaily.com reports that Austin-based Blue Starlite Urban Drive-In is bringing its “mini urban drive-in” model to Minturn where it claims it will have the highest-altitude drive-in in the country. The Little Beach Park location will have room for 40 cars to watch flicks on the 30-foot screen.
