Commerce City URA approves plan to convert dog track into mixed-use

The 65-acre former site of the Mile High Greyhound Park has cleared a major hurdle toward redevelopment of the site, which could begin next year.

The Denver Business Journal reports that the Commerce City Urban Renewal Authority this week approved the master development agreement for the site, which the URA bought in 2011. The paper notes that city officials’ vision includes a development that would create nearly 1,500 jobs at full buildout.
