UNC Entrepreneurial Challenge winners to be announced April 24
GREELEY – Winners of the University of Northern Colorado Monfort College of Business Entrepreneurial Challenge will be announced April 24 during a televised event.
Five finalists pitched their business plans to a panel of judges at the 9News studio in Denver on March 29.
The broadcast of the finals will be aired at 7 p.m. on the 24th on KTVD Channel 20, and also streamed online after it airs at mcb-echallenge.com.

First place wins $25,000, with second and third place receiving $15,000 and $10,000 respectively.
The five finalists included:
Aerosol Devices, Fort Collins: Makes an advanced scientific instrument for the collection of airborne particles for physical, chemical, and biological analysis.
The Food Corridor, Fort Collins: The Food Corridor provides online booking, payment processing, disbursement, and reviews to match food businesses without adequate production facilities with underutilized commercial kitchens that have available space, creating an access economy in the food industry.
McSquares, Broomfield: Makes handheld, interactive whiteboards that can be used individually or snapped together to create larger, collaborative displays.
NerdNest, Denver: An innovative, engaging and fun social media site targeting female fans to create and share their favorite, nerd-based fandom content including photos, gifs, videos, and written content related to fandom.
Planting Profits, Masonville: An online application that uses an agricultural friendly user interface to configure a model of the farming operation, using mathematical optimization to identify the most profitable combination of crops and acreage per field assignment.
