Sky Sox plan move from Colorado Springs to San Antonio

The owners of Colorado Springs’ Triple-A baseball team, the Sky Sox, are planning to move the club to San Antonio to a new downtown stadium in that city for the 2019 season.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports, however, that there is plenty to do before that can happen, namely finding a site for a new stadium and figuring out how to pay for it.

The Sky Sox, which have played in the Springs since 1988, are the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers after the Colorado Rockies moved their own Triple-A affiliation to Albuquerque last year.
